Description
xVE.Direct Non-Inverting Remote On-Off Cable
The VE.Direct non-inverting remote on-off cable allows external control of compatible Victron Energy devices via the VE.Direct port. It is designed for installers who need to enable or disable a device remotely without inverting the logic signal, keeping control behaviour straightforward and predictable.
Key Features
- Non-inverting logic: a high signal on the control input turns the device on, a low signal turns it off, matching standard remote switching conventions.
- Connects directly to the VE.Direct port on compatible Victron devices, requiring no additional interface hardware.
- Lightweight at 0.11 kg, suitable for compact panel builds and enclosure installations.
- Compatible with Victron devices that support remote on-off control via the VE.Direct interface.
- SKU ASS030550320, GTIN 8719076036494, supplied as a ready-to-use cable assembly.
Product Overview
The VE.Direct port on Victron devices carries both communication data and remote control signals. This cable exposes the remote on-off lines so that an external switch, relay, or control signal can start or stop the connected device. The non-inverting configuration means the logic follows the input directly: no additional inversion circuitry is needed in the control wiring.
This is particularly useful in automated systems where a battery management system, programmable logic controller, or simple manual switch needs to control a Victron MPPT charger or similar device. Using the VE.Direct port for this purpose avoids the need to interrupt power wiring, which keeps the installation cleaner and reduces the risk of wiring errors.

Installation Notes
Verify that the target Victron device supports remote on-off control via its VE.Direct port before installation. Connect the control input to a signal source within the voltage range specified for the device. Although this cable is a low-voltage accessory, it should be installed as part of a wider system by a qualified electrician or experienced installer familiar with Victron equipment. For any grid-connected or high-voltage battery installations, a qualified installer is required.
