Description
xAdjustable Tilt Solar Panel Mounting Kit for Flat Roof – 15 to 30 Degrees
This adjustable tilt mounting kit is designed for solar panels on flat roofs, ground surfaces, and other flat or low-pitch installations. The extendable aluminium legs allow the panel angle to be set between 15 and 30 degrees, improving energy yield compared to a fully flat installation. Compatible with panels from 100W to 600W half cut models.
Key Features
- Adjustable tilt angle: 15 to 30 degrees
- Extendable aluminium legs with precise angle adjustment
- Compatible with panels from 100W to 600W including half cut models
- Suitable for concrete, corrugated, metal, timber, and fibre cement roof surfaces
- Also suitable for canal boats and recreational vehicles
- All necessary components included
Product Overview
Flat roof solar panels installed at zero degrees collect significantly less energy than panels installed at an optimised angle facing south. Tilting the panel improves the angle of incidence for UK solar irradiance conditions, where a tilt between 15 and 35 degrees towards the south delivers the best year-round performance.
The extendable aluminium leg design allows fine adjustment within the 15 to 30 degree range and is suitable for a wide variety of roof construction types. The kit is particularly useful for narrow canal boats and RV rooftops where space constraints make fixed-angle structures impractical.
Applications
- Flat roof residential and commercial solar installations
- Ground-mounted off-grid solar panels
- Canal boat and narrowboat solar systems
- Motorhome and RV rooftop solar
- Any flat surface installation requiring an optimised tilt angle
Installation and Safety Notes
Ensure the roof or surface is capable of supporting the combined weight of the panel, mounting kit, and wind loading before installation. Fixing method must be appropriate for the roof construction type. Electrical connection of the solar panel must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with IET Wiring Regulations.
