Description
xVictron VE.Direct Cable 0.9m
The Victron VE.Direct Cable is a dedicated data communication cable for connecting VE.Direct-compatible Victron devices. At 0.9 metres, it suits installations where components are mounted in close proximity. It is used by installers and system integrators to enable monitoring, configuration and data transfer between Victron products.
Key Features
- 0.9m cable length, suited to compact or panel-mounted installations where devices sit close together.
- Connects any two VE.Direct-compatible Victron devices, including MPPT solar charge controllers, BMV battery monitors, Phoenix inverters and more.
- Enables real-time data communication for monitoring, configuration and logging via the VE.Direct protocol.
- Compatible with the VictronConnect app when used with a VE.Direct to USB or VE.Direct to Bluetooth Smart dongle.
- Genuine Victron Energy accessory, manufactured to work reliably within the VE.Direct ecosystem.
- Lightweight at 25g, adding negligible weight to any installation.
Product Overview
VE.Direct is Victron's proprietary serial communication protocol used across a wide range of their products. The cable carries data between devices, allowing a charge controller to report state-of-charge data to a battery monitor, or enabling a connected computer or phone to read live system data and adjust settings. Without this cable, direct device-to-device communication is not possible.
The 0.9m length is the shortest in the VE.Direct cable range. It is the right choice when two devices are mounted on the same DIN rail, enclosure panel or within a compact battery cabinet. Using a cable that is too long in a tight installation creates unnecessary clutter and potential strain on connectors. If your devices are further apart, longer VE.Direct cables are available in the Victron range.

Installation Notes
This cable carries data only and does not conduct mains or battery power. It can be connected and disconnected by the system owner without specialist tools. Ensure the correct VE.Direct port is used on each device and that the connector is fully seated before powering the system. For full system commissioning involving inverters, charge controllers or battery connections, a qualified electrician or accredited installer should be engaged.
