Description
xVictron VE.Direct Cable 0.3m
The Victron VE.Direct Cable is a short-run data cable used to connect VE.Direct-compatible Victron devices to each other or to monitoring and communication accessories. At 0.3m, this cable is suited to installations where components are mounted in close proximity, keeping wiring tidy and minimising cable clutter in panels or enclosures.
Key Features
- 0.3m cable length, designed for short-distance connections between closely mounted Victron devices.
- Compatible with the VE.Direct communication protocol used across a wide range of Victron products including BMV battery monitors, MPPT solar charge controllers, and Phoenix inverters.
- Carries both data and power over a single cable, enabling device communication without additional wiring.
- Lightweight at 15g, adding negligible weight to any installation.
- Terminated with the standard VE.Direct connector at both ends for a secure, positive-locking connection.
Product Overview
VE.Direct is Victron Energy's proprietary point-to-point communication interface. It is used to pass data between devices such as MPPT charge controllers, BMV battery monitors, and the VE.Direct to USB or Bluetooth Smart Dongle accessories. The 0.3m length is the shortest in the VE.Direct cable range, making it the right choice when two devices are mounted side by side in a cabinet, enclosure, or on a DIN rail.
Because VE.Direct is a point-to-point protocol, each cable connects one device to one other device or accessory. If you need to connect multiple VE.Direct devices to a single monitoring point such as a Raspberry Pi or a Cerbo GX, you will need a separate cable for each device. The 0.3m variant avoids unnecessary cable loops and keeps installations clean where space is limited.

Installation Notes
This cable carries low-voltage data signals only and does not require specialist electrical installation. Ensure both devices are powered down before connecting or disconnecting VE.Direct cables. Verify that both ends of the connection are VE.Direct-compatible before use, as the connector form factor may physically resemble other connectors but is not interchangeable with non-VE.Direct ports.
