Description
xVictron VE.Can RJ45 Terminator (Bag of 2)
The Victron VE.Can RJ45 terminator is a passive network component required to correctly terminate a VE.Can bus. Supplied in a bag of two, this product is aimed at installers configuring Victron systems with multiple devices connected over VE.Can.
Key Features
- Terminates a VE.Can network bus at both ends to prevent signal reflection and communication errors.
- RJ45 form factor fits directly into the VE.Can port on compatible Victron devices.
- Passive component requiring no power or configuration.
- Supplied as a bag of two, providing both terminators needed for a single VE.Can network segment.
- Lightweight at 8 g, suitable for keeping as a standard stock item on any Victron installation.
- Compatible with all Victron devices that use the VE.Can interface, including Quattro, Multi, MPPT charge controllers and Cerbo GX.
Product Overview
A CAN bus network requires a 120-ohm termination resistor at each end of the bus to function correctly. Without proper termination, signal reflections cause communication errors between devices, which can result in unreliable data, fault conditions or loss of communication between components such as inverter/chargers, MPPT controllers and the GX device. The VE.Can RJ45 terminator provides this termination in a compact plug that fits directly into any spare VE.Can RJ45 port.
Each VE.Can network segment needs exactly two terminators: one at each physical end of the bus. This bag contains both terminators required for a single segment, so a complete installation can be terminated without ordering separately. For larger systems with multiple network segments, additional bags will be needed.

- Commercial and industrial Victron systems where several devices share a single VE.Can bus.
- Replacement terminators for existing installations where the original terminators have been lost or damaged.
What Is Included
- 2 x VE.Can RJ45 terminator plugs
Installation Notes
One terminator must be fitted at each end of the VE.Can bus. Fit them into the unused RJ45 VE.Can port on the first and last device in the network chain. Devices in the middle of the chain should have both VE.Can ports occupied by network cables, not terminators. Incorrect termination is a common cause of VE.Can communication issues, so verify terminator placement if devices are not appearing correctly on the GX device or VRM portal. No tools are required for installation.
