Description
xVictron Sun Inverter 24/250-10 IEC
The Victron Sun Inverter 24/250-10 IEC is a compact combined inverter and solar charge controller designed for small off-grid and standalone DC systems. It accepts a 24V battery input and delivers 250VA of AC output, with an integrated 10A solar charge controller. It is suited to professional installers working on small remote power applications where a single, self-contained unit is preferable to separate components.
Key Features
- Combined inverter and PWM solar charge controller in a single unit, reducing wiring complexity and component count.
- 24V nominal battery input with 250VA continuous AC output capacity.
- Integrated 10A solar charge controller for direct connection of a PV array.
- IEC AC output connector, suitable for European and UK off-grid installations.
- Compact and lightweight at 2.8 kg, making it practical for wall-mounting in confined spaces.
- Victron build quality with a proven track record in off-grid and remote power applications.
Product Overview
The Sun Inverter 24/250-10 combines two functions that would otherwise require separate devices: a DC-to-AC inverter and a solar charge controller. The inverter section converts 24V DC battery power to AC, while the 10A charge controller manages PV input to keep the battery charged. This integration makes it a practical choice for small, self-contained systems where panel space, weight and wiring simplicity all matter.
The 250VA output rating is appropriate for powering small loads such as lighting, communications equipment, instrumentation or low-power appliances in remote locations. The IEC output format aligns with standard European and UK off-grid equipment. As with all Victron inverter products, the Sun Inverter is designed for continuous duty in demanding environments.
This unit is not intended for grid-tied or grid-export applications. It operates as a standalone off-grid inverter only, and does not include MPPT charge control. The 10A PWM controller is suited to smaller PV arrays where MPPT efficiency gains are less critical.

Installation Notes
Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or experienced off-grid systems installer. Ensure the battery bank is correctly rated for 24V nominal operation and that DC cabling is appropriately sized for the inverter's input current. The PV array connected to the charge controller must not exceed the 10A controller rating. This product is for off-grid use only and must not be connected to the public electricity network. No G98 or G99 compliance is required or applicable for this unit.
