Description
xVictron Smart IP43 Charger 24V/25A (1+1) 120-240V
The Victron Smart IP43 Charger 24/25(1+1) is a mains-powered battery charger designed for professional and trade use. It delivers 25A to a 24V main battery bank, with a second output for maintaining a separate auxiliary battery. The wide 120-240V AC input makes it suitable for use across the UK, Europe and North America.
Key Features
- 25A output on the primary charge channel for 24V battery banks, with a second 4A auxiliary output for a separate battery.
- Wide AC input voltage range of 120-240V, compatible with UK, European and North American mains supplies.
- IP43 rated enclosure, providing protection against solid objects over 1mm and water spray up to 60 degrees from vertical.
- Bluetooth built-in via Victron's VictronConnect app, allowing real-time monitoring and configuration from a smartphone or tablet.
- Adaptive charging algorithm with battery-safe absorption and float stages, suitable for lead-acid battery types including AGM, Gel and flooded.
- Storage mode automatically reduces float voltage during extended periods of inactivity to minimise battery degradation.
- Temperature-compensated charging when used with an optional temperature sensor, adjusting charge voltage to protect the battery in varying ambient conditions.
Product Overview
The Smart IP43 range sits within Victron's Blue Power charger family. The (1+1) configuration means the unit has two independent outputs: the main 25A output for the primary 24V bank, and a second isolated output rated at 4A for charging a starter battery or secondary service battery simultaneously. This removes the need for a separate trickle charger in dual-battery installations.
Bluetooth connectivity is built into the charger, not added via an external dongle. Using the VictronConnect app, installers can view charge state, battery voltage, current and any fault conditions without needing to be physically at the unit. Charge algorithm settings, battery type and absorption time can all be adjusted through the app, which is useful when commissioning or diagnosing a system remotely.
The IP43 rating makes this charger appropriate for installation in engine rooms, vehicle bays, boat bilge areas and other locations where some exposure to moisture or dust is expected. It is not submersible and should not be installed where it may be directly rained on or submerged.

Installation Notes
This charger should be installed by a qualified electrician or competent marine/vehicle electrician. Ensure the AC supply is correctly fused and that the installation complies with BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations) for fixed mains connections in the UK. For marine installations, follow the relevant standards for onboard AC and DC wiring. Verify battery chemistry compatibility before selecting a charge profile. The unit is not suitable for lithium battery chemistries unless explicitly confirmed by Victron documentation for the specific battery type.
