Description
xVictron Skylla-TG 24/50 (1+1) 3-Phase 400V Battery Charger
The Victron Skylla-TG 24/50 (1+1) is a high-power, three-phase industrial battery charger designed for 24V battery systems requiring up to 50A of charge current. Built for demanding professional and commercial applications, it operates from a 3-phase 400V AC supply and includes a second output stage in a 1+1 configuration for redundancy or dual-bank charging.
Key Features
- 50A charge output for 24V battery systems, supplied from a 3-phase 400V AC input.
- 1+1 configuration provides a second output stage, supporting redundant operation or simultaneous charging of two battery banks.
- Three-phase input reduces per-phase current draw and balances load across the supply, making it suitable for industrial and commercial installations.
- Victron Skylla-TG series is designed for continuous-duty operation in harsh environments, including marine, industrial and off-grid applications.
- Adaptive charge algorithm automatically adjusts to battery condition, preventing overcharge and extending battery service life.
- Compact, rugged enclosure rated for professional installation in plant rooms, engine rooms and similar environments.
- Compatible with Victron system monitoring and integration via VE.Can or other Victron communication interfaces (where applicable to the unit configuration).
Product Overview
The Skylla-TG range is Victron's industrial-grade charger series, intended for applications where a standard single-phase charger is insufficient or where three-phase supply is the only available power source. Drawing from a 3-phase 400V supply, the unit distributes load evenly across all three phases, which is a practical requirement in many commercial and marine installations where single-phase loading is restricted or undesirable.
The 1+1 designation means the charger contains two independent output stages within a single enclosure. This can be used to charge two separate 24V battery banks simultaneously, or configured for redundancy so that one stage continues to operate if the other develops a fault. For critical systems such as backup power, marine propulsion support or industrial UPS applications, this architecture provides a meaningful level of operational resilience without requiring two separate charger units.
Victron's adaptive charging algorithm monitors battery voltage and temperature response to determine the correct charge profile at any given time. This is not a fixed-curve charger: it adjusts absorption time based on how the battery responds, which is particularly relevant for large lead-acid or GEL battery banks where charge acceptance varies with age and temperature.

What Is Included
- 1 x Victron Skylla-TG 24/50 (1+1) 3-Phase 400V battery charger unit
Installation Notes
This unit requires connection to a 3-phase 400V AC supply and must be installed by a qualified electrician. The 1+1 output configuration and high charge current mean that correct DC cabling, fusing and battery bank sizing are critical. For marine installations, compliance with relevant classification society or flag state requirements should be confirmed before installation. Always ensure the battery chemistry and voltage match the charger's configured output profile before commissioning.
