Description
xVictron Skylla-TG 24/30 (1+1) 120-240V Battery Charger
The Victron Skylla-TG 24/30 (1+1) is a high-power, transformer-based battery charger designed for 24V battery systems. It accepts a wide AC input range of 120 to 240V, making it suitable for use across different mains supplies and generator outputs. The (1+1) configuration provides a dedicated output for a starter battery in addition to the main bank, which is a practical requirement in many marine, vehicle and industrial installations.
Key Features
- 30A output for 24V battery systems with a separate (1+1) output for simultaneous starter battery charging.
- Wide AC input voltage range of 120 to 240V accommodates varying mains and generator supplies without manual adjustment.
- Transformer-based design provides galvanic isolation between AC input and DC output, an important safety requirement in many marine and vehicle installations.
- High-power charger category, built for continuous duty in demanding environments.
- Victron's adaptive charge algorithm adjusts the charge profile to suit battery condition, reducing the risk of overcharging or undercharging.
- SKU: SDTG2400301 | GTIN: 8719076025719
Product Overview
The Skylla-TG range uses a transformer-based topology rather than a switched-mode design. This provides true galvanic isolation, which is a regulatory and practical requirement in many marine, vehicle and off-grid installations where DC and AC grounds must be kept separate. The transformer construction also makes the charger tolerant of poor-quality AC input, including generator power with voltage fluctuations or harmonic distortion.
The (1+1) output configuration means the charger manages two separate DC outputs simultaneously. The primary output delivers 30A to the main battery bank, while the secondary output maintains a starter or auxiliary battery independently. Both outputs are managed by the charger's control system, so neither battery is neglected when the charger is running.
The 120 to 240V AC input range means the same unit can be used on North American 120V supplies, European 230V mains, or typical generator outputs without any manual voltage selection. This makes the Skylla-TG 24/30 (1+1) a practical choice for equipment that moves between different AC supply environments.

Installation Notes
Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or marine electrical engineer familiar with battery charging systems. The charger must be connected to a correctly rated AC supply with appropriate overcurrent protection. DC connections to the battery bank should be sized to handle the full output current. In marine installations, verify that the galvanic isolation meets the requirements of the relevant classification society or national standard. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit during operation.
