Description
xVictron Skylla-TG 24/100 (1+1) GL 120-240V Battery Charger
The Victron Skylla-TG 24/100 (1+1) GL is a high-power 24V battery charger rated at 100A, designed for demanding professional and industrial applications. The (1+1) configuration provides a dedicated output for a starter battery in addition to the main bank, making it well suited to marine, vehicle and generator installations where multiple battery banks must be maintained simultaneously. It accepts a wide AC input range of 120 to 240V, allowing use across different supply voltages.
Key Features
- 100A output at 24V nominal, providing high charge current for large battery banks.
- (1+1) dual output: main bank output plus a separate trickle output for a starter or auxiliary battery.
- Wide AC input voltage range of 120 to 240V, compatible with both North American and European supply standards.
- GL certification indicates compliance with relevant international safety standards for the charger.
- Designed for continuous-duty industrial and marine use, with a robust aluminium housing suited to fixed installations.
- Compatible with Victron's VE.Bus and monitoring ecosystem, allowing integration with system panels and remote monitoring where supported.
- Adaptive four-stage charge algorithm (bulk, absorption, float, storage) to protect and condition lead-acid battery banks.
Product Overview
The Skylla-TG range sits at the top of Victron's charger lineup for fixed, high-current applications. The 24/100 model delivers up to 100A into a 24V battery bank, which is sufficient to charge large lead-acid banks found on commercial vessels, heavy vehicles, off-grid systems and industrial UPS installations. The (1+1) designation means the unit has a primary high-current output for the main battery bank and a secondary output that maintains a starter or auxiliary battery independently, without requiring a separate charger.
The wide 120 to 240V AC input makes this charger practical for installations where the supply voltage may vary or where the same unit needs to operate in different countries. The GL mark confirms the unit has been assessed to internationally recognised safety standards. At 9.85kg, the unit is intended for permanent panel or bulkhead mounting rather than portable use.
Victron's adaptive charge algorithm adjusts absorption time based on the bulk charge duration, which reduces stress on batteries that are already partially charged. The storage mode drops the float voltage further when the battery has been fully charged and left on charge for an extended period, reducing electrolyte loss and plate corrosion over time.

Installation Notes
The Skylla-TG 24/100 should be installed by a qualified electrician or accredited marine/electrical engineer. The unit operates at mains voltage and connects to large battery banks, both of which present serious shock and short-circuit hazards if handled incorrectly. Ensure the AC supply is correctly fused and that DC cabling is rated for the full 100A output current. Battery bank connections must be made with appropriately sized cable and correctly rated fusing or circuit protection on the DC side. For marine installations, follow the relevant flag state and classification society requirements. Consult the Victron Skylla-TG installation manual for full wiring diagrams, ventilation requirements and configuration instructions before commissioning.
