Description
xVictron Skylla-i 24/100(3) 230V High Power Battery Charger
The Victron Skylla-i 24/100(3) is a three-output, 24V 100A mains-powered battery charger designed for professional and commercial applications where reliable, high-current charging is required. It is suited to marine, industrial, vehicle and off-grid installations where multiple battery banks need to be charged simultaneously from a single unit.
Key Features
- 100A total output at 24V with three independently configurable output channels for charging separate battery banks.
- Operates from a 230V AC mains supply, making it compatible with standard single-phase shore power and generator inputs.
- Adaptive four-stage charging algorithm (bulk, absorption, float, storage) extends battery service life across lead-acid chemistries including AGM, gel and flooded.
- VE.Bus compatible, allowing integration with Victron system monitoring and control via a GX device or VE.Bus BMS.
- Built-in temperature compensation adjusts charge voltage automatically to account for ambient temperature variation.
- Aluminium enclosure with a compact, wall-mountable form factor suitable for engine rooms, battery compartments and plant rooms.
- Remote on/off and charge current control via the VE.Bus interface, supporting automated system management.
Product Overview
The Skylla-i 24/100(3) delivers 100A of charge current at 24V across three outputs. The three-output configuration allows a single charger to service a main house bank, a starter battery and a third auxiliary bank independently, each with its own charge profile. This removes the need for multiple separate chargers in complex installations and simplifies wiring.
The adaptive charging algorithm monitors battery acceptance and adjusts the charge phase accordingly. During absorption, the charger holds voltage and reduces current as the battery approaches full charge. Once fully charged, it drops to float voltage to maintain the battery without overcharging. A storage mode further reduces voltage for long-term standby, which is particularly relevant in seasonal or intermittent-use applications such as leisure craft or standby power systems.
VE.Bus connectivity means the Skylla-i integrates directly into a Victron system. When paired with a GX device such as a Cerbo GX, charge status, output current and battery voltage are visible in the Victron Remote Monitoring portal. The charger can also be controlled remotely, including current limiting, which is useful where shore power supply is restricted or shared with other loads.

Installation Notes
The Skylla-i 24/100(3) should be installed by a qualified electrician or marine electrical engineer. The unit connects to a 230V AC supply and outputs high DC current; correct cable sizing, fusing and ventilation are essential. In marine installations, compliance with relevant ISO and ABYC standards is the installer's responsibility. For VE.Bus integration, ensure the GX device or BMS firmware is compatible with the Skylla-i before commissioning. The unit is not suitable for lithium battery chemistries unless a compatible Victron BMS is present to manage charge cutoff.
