Description
xVictron Energy RJ45 UTP Cable 30 m
The Victron Energy RJ45 UTP Cable (30 m) is a standard network cable used to connect compatible Victron devices over longer cable runs. It is suited to installations where control panels, inverters, chargers or monitoring equipment need to be located at a distance from one another.
Key Features
- 30-metre length provides flexibility for installations where equipment is spread across a building or vehicle.
- RJ45 connectors on both ends, compatible with Victron devices that use RJ45 communication ports.
- UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) construction suitable for low-voltage data communication between Victron components.
- Genuine Victron Energy accessory, manufactured to work with the Victron product ecosystem.
- Cable weight of 0.949 kg reflects the full 30 m length, making it practical to store and route during installation.
Product Overview
This cable is used to connect Victron devices that communicate via RJ45 ports, such as the Color Control GX, CCGX, Venus GX, and various Victron inverter/charger units, as well as BMV battery monitors and other compatible accessories. The RJ45 interface on Victron equipment carries data signals rather than Ethernet network traffic in many cases, so it is important to use the correct cable for the specific connection required.
At 30 metres, this is the longest standard RJ45 cable in the Victron range, making it appropriate for larger installations such as boats, motorhomes, off-grid cabins or commercial battery systems where the monitoring or control panel cannot be mounted close to the main equipment. Using a cable of this length avoids the need for field-terminated extensions, which can introduce connection reliability issues.

Installation Notes
Verify that the RJ45 port on your Victron device is intended for this type of cable connection before use, as some Victron RJ45 ports carry specific proprietary signals rather than standard Ethernet. Route the cable away from high-current DC wiring where possible to minimise interference. For larger solar, inverter or battery installations, a qualified electrician or MCS-accredited installer should carry out all electrical connections.
