Description
xVictron Energy RJ12 UTP Cable 5 m
The Victron RJ12 UTP Cable (5 m) is a data communication cable used to connect compatible Victron devices over a short-distance wired link. It is suited to installers who need a reliable, correctly terminated cable for Victron system integration without fabricating their own leads.
Key Features
- 5 metre length provides flexibility in panel, cabinet and enclosure layouts.
- RJ12 connectors on both ends for direct plug-in connection to compatible Victron ports.
- UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) construction suitable for low-voltage data signal transmission.
- Lightweight at 0.109 kg, adding minimal load to cable management systems.
- Genuine Victron Energy accessory, ensuring correct pinout and connector specification for Victron equipment.
Product Overview
RJ12 is a 6-position, 6-conductor (6P6C) connector format used by Victron Energy across a range of products for inter-device communication. This cable provides a ready-made, correctly terminated connection between devices that use this interface, removing the need to source and crimp individual components on site.
The 5 m length is practical for installations where devices are mounted at a distance from each other, such as a battery monitor located away from a shunt, or a panel-mounted display connected to a remotely installed unit. UTP construction is appropriate for the low-speed data signals used in these applications.

Installation Notes
Verify that the target Victron devices use RJ12 (6P6C) ports before ordering, as RJ11 and RJ12 connectors are physically similar but differ in conductor count. This cable carries data signals only and is not rated for mains or battery power. Route away from high-current DC cables where possible to avoid signal interference.
