Description
xVictron Energy RJ12 UTP Cable 3 m
The Victron Energy RJ12 UTP Cable is a 3-metre data cable used to connect compatible Victron devices via RJ12 ports. It is suited to installers and system integrators who need a reliable, correctly terminated cable for Victron communications wiring without fabricating their own.
Key Features
- 3-metre length provides sufficient reach for most panel, inverter and battery monitor installations without excess slack.
- RJ12 connectors on both ends, terminated for direct plug-in connection to compatible Victron devices.
- UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) construction suitable for low-voltage data communication between Victron components.
- Lightweight at 67 g, adding negligible load to cable management or enclosure layouts.
- Genuine Victron Energy accessory, manufactured to match the connector specification of Victron RJ12-compatible products.
Product Overview
RJ12 is a 6-position, 6-conductor (6P6C) connector format used by Victron Energy across a range of products including battery monitors, inverter/chargers and panel displays. This cable carries data signals between those devices, typically for remote panel connections or inter-device communication. Using a factory-terminated cable avoids the risk of wiring errors that can occur with field-crimped assemblies.
The 3-metre length is the most commonly specified option for installations where the display panel or remote device is mounted at a short distance from the main unit. UTP construction is appropriate for the low-speed, short-run data signals used in Victron system communications, where shielding is not required.

Installation Notes
Confirm that both devices being connected use RJ12 (6P6C) ports before fitting this cable. RJ12 and RJ11 connectors are physically similar but differ in the number of active conductors. Route the cable away from high-current DC wiring where possible to avoid signal interference. No specialist tools are required to fit this cable, but always verify device compatibility in the relevant Victron product documentation before connecting.
