Description
xVictron Energy RJ12 UTP Cable 15 m
The Victron Energy RJ12 UTP Cable is a 15-metre communication cable used to connect compatible Victron devices via RJ12 ports. It is suited to professional solar, off-grid and battery installations where reliable data communication between components is required over longer cable runs.
Key Features
- 15-metre length provides flexibility for installations where components are mounted at distance from one another.
- RJ12 connector type for use with Victron devices that use 6-pin RJ12 communication ports.
- UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) construction carries data signals between compatible Victron equipment.
- Lightweight at 0.35 kg, making it straightforward to route and manage within an installation.
- Victron OEM cable, manufactured to work with the RJ12 communication interface used across the Victron product range.
Product Overview
RJ12 communication cables are used in Victron systems to link devices such as battery monitors, inverter/chargers and panel displays. The RJ12 port carries low-voltage data signals rather than power, allowing system components to exchange status and control information. At 15 metres, this cable is suitable for installations where the display or monitoring unit is mounted away from the main inverter or battery system, for example in a separate room or enclosure.
Using the correct Victron-supplied cable ensures the connector terminations and cable specification match the requirements of the RJ12 interface. Third-party cables with incorrect pin configurations can cause communication faults or device damage. This cable is the appropriate choice where a longer run is needed and a shorter Victron RJ12 cable does not reach.

Installation Notes
Verify that both devices being connected use RJ12 ports before ordering. RJ12 and RJ11 connectors are physically similar but differ in pin count; using the wrong cable will not establish a connection. Route the cable away from high-current DC cables and inverter output wiring where possible to minimise signal interference. No specialist electrical qualification is required to connect this cable, but the wider system installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or accredited installer.
