Description
xVictron Energy Outdoor 4G GSM Antenna
The Victron Energy Outdoor 4G GSM antenna is designed for use with Victron monitoring devices that require a cellular connection for remote data transmission. It is suited to installations where the built-in or indoor antenna provides insufficient signal, particularly in rural, off-grid or industrial locations.
Key Features
- Designed for outdoor installation, providing improved 4G GSM signal reception compared to internal antennas.
- Compatible with Victron Energy monitoring and communication devices that use an external antenna connector.
- Lightweight construction at 0.08 kg, making it straightforward to mount in accessible locations.
- Supports 4G LTE cellular bands for reliable data transmission from remote monitoring equipment.
- Suitable for permanent outdoor installation in off-grid, marine, agricultural and industrial environments.
Product Overview
Many Victron monitoring devices, including the GX range and cellular-enabled communication modules, rely on a stable GSM or 4G connection to transmit system data to the VRM portal. In locations with weak indoor signal, an external outdoor antenna significantly improves connection reliability. Mounting the antenna on an exterior wall, mast or enclosure brings it closer to line-of-sight with the nearest cell tower, which directly reduces dropped connections and data gaps in remote monitoring logs.
The antenna is built for permanent outdoor use and is rated for exposure to weather. The cable and connector are designed to interface with compatible Victron devices without modification. For installations in particularly remote areas, positioning the antenna at height and away from metal obstructions will give the best results.

Installation Notes
Mount the antenna in an outdoor location with clear sky exposure and minimal obstruction from metal structures. Ensure the connector type matches the port on your Victron device before installation. Cable routing through walls or enclosures should be sealed against moisture ingress. While antenna installation itself is low voltage and does not require a qualified electrician, any associated work on the connected inverter, battery or solar system should be carried out by a qualified installer.
