Description
xVictron MK2.2b Interface (VE.Bus to RS232)
The Victron MK2.2b is a wired interface that connects VE.Bus-equipped Victron inverters and inverter/chargers to a PC via RS232 serial port. It is used primarily for configuration, monitoring and firmware updates using Victron's VEConfigure and VEFlash software tools. This interface is aimed at installers and technicians who need direct serial communication with VE.Bus devices.
Key Features
- Converts VE.Bus communication to RS232 serial protocol for PC connectivity.
- Compatible with Victron VE.Bus inverters and inverter/chargers, including MultiPlus and Quattro ranges.
- Enables device configuration via VEConfigure software and firmware updates via VEFlash.
- Compact and lightweight at 40 g, suitable for carrying in a tool kit.
- SKU ASS030120210, GTIN 8719076019404, supplied by Victron Energy.
Product Overview
The MK2.2b provides a direct serial link between a VE.Bus device and a PC RS232 port. RS232 remains the standard interface for Victron's VEConfigure and VEFlash tools, making this adapter a practical requirement for installers who need to set system parameters, adjust charge curves, configure multi-unit parallel or three-phase systems, or update device firmware in the field.
For laptops and modern PCs without a native RS232 port, a USB-to-RS232 adapter is required in addition to this interface. The MK2.2b itself handles only the VE.Bus-to-RS232 conversion. It does not provide USB connectivity and is not a replacement for the VE.Bus Smart Dongle or other wireless monitoring accessories.
