Description
xVictron MIDI Fuse 80A/58V M6 (Pack of 5)
The Victron MIDI fuse 80A/58V with M6 bolt connection is a blade-style DC fuse designed for use in battery and solar systems where reliable overcurrent protection is required. Sold in packs of five, these fuses are suited to installers and system builders working with 12V, 24V and 48V DC installations.
Key Features
- 80A current rating with a 58V DC voltage rating, suitable for 12V, 24V and 48V battery systems.
- M6 bolt terminal connection for a secure, low-resistance contact in fuseholder applications.
- MIDI fuse format, compatible with standard MIDI fuseholders including Victron's own range.
- Sold as a pack of 5, making them practical for multi-circuit installations or stocking spares.
- Lightweight at 15g per pack, with minimal installation footprint in DC distribution boards and cable runs.
Product Overview
MIDI fuses are a widely used format in DC electrical systems, particularly in marine, off-grid, vehicle and battery storage installations. The M6 bolt connection provides a firm mechanical and electrical contact within a compatible MIDI fuseholder, reducing the risk of high-resistance joints that can cause nuisance tripping or heat build-up under load.
The 80A rating makes this fuse appropriate for protecting cable runs and equipment in mid-range DC circuits, such as battery-to-inverter connections, DC distribution feeds, or charge controller outputs in systems where the continuous current draw falls within this threshold. The 58V maximum voltage rating covers standard 48V nominal battery banks with headroom for charge voltages.

Installation Notes
MIDI fuses must be installed in a compatible MIDI fuseholder rated for the voltage and current of the circuit. Ensure the M6 bolt terminals are torqued to the fuseholder manufacturer's specification to maintain a reliable connection. Always size fuses to protect the cable, not the load. For DC systems connected to battery banks or solar arrays, installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or experienced installer familiar with DC protection requirements.
