Description
xVictron Inverter 48/375 230V VE.Direct SCHUKO
The Victron Inverter 48/375 is a compact 375VA pure sine wave inverter designed for 48V DC battery systems, converting stored energy to 230V AC output via a SCHUKO socket. It is aimed at off-grid professionals, marine and vehicle installers, and anyone needing a reliable, low-power AC supply from a 48V battery bank. VE.Direct connectivity allows integration with Victron monitoring and control systems.
Key Features
- 375VA continuous output from a 48V DC input, suitable for small AC loads in off-grid and mobile applications.
- Pure sine wave output at 230V AC, compatible with sensitive electronics and standard appliances.
- SCHUKO output socket provides a standard European AC connection directly on the unit.
- VE.Direct port enables communication with Victron monitoring devices, including the Color Control GX and Venus GX.
- Built-in protections include low battery voltage shutdown, over-temperature cutoff, and overload protection.
- Compact and lightweight design at 3.25 kg, suited to space-constrained installations.
- Compatible with Victron's VictronConnect app via a VE.Direct to USB or Bluetooth interface for configuration and monitoring.
Product Overview
The 48/375 sits at the lower end of Victron's VE.Direct inverter range, making it appropriate for applications where a modest AC output is needed from a 48V battery system. Typical uses include powering a laptop, router, lighting circuit, or other low-draw AC equipment where running a larger inverter would be inefficient. The pure sine wave output means it is safe to use with motor-driven equipment, variable-speed devices, and sensitive electronics that would be damaged or perform poorly on a modified sine wave.
The VE.Direct interface is a key practical advantage. It allows the inverter to be monitored and controlled through Victron's GX device ecosystem, giving installers and system operators visibility of AC output, battery state, and fault conditions from a central display or remotely via the VRM portal. This makes the 48/375 a sensible choice where it forms part of a wider Victron off-grid or backup system rather than a standalone unit.
The SCHUKO socket on the unit removes the need for additional wiring to a distribution board for simple, single-outlet installations. For more complex wiring requirements, output can be taken from the socket using an appropriate adaptor or hardwired via a qualified electrician.

Applications
- Off-grid cabins and remote installations requiring a small 230V AC supply from a 48V battery bank.
- Marine and narrowboat systems where a compact inverter is needed for occasional AC loads.
- Vehicle conversions (van, motorhome, truck) with 48V electrical systems.
- Backup power for low-draw equipment such as routers, lighting, or communications devices.
- Part of a larger Victron system where a dedicated low-power AC outlet is required alongside a GX monitoring device.
What Is Included
- Victron Inverter 48/375 230V VE.Direct SCHUKO unit
Installation Notes
This inverter must be connected to a 48V DC battery system. DC cable sizing and fusing must be appropriate for the current draw at 48V. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or experienced installer familiar with DC systems. The SCHUKO output is not suitable for direct connection to a fixed wiring installation without appropriate isolation and protection. VE.Direct communication requires a separate interface cable (not included). This product is not grid-connected and does not require G98 or G99 compliance, but any integration into a wider electrical system should comply with current UK wiring regulations (BS 7671).
