Description
xVictron Inverter 24V 2500VA 230V Smart
The Victron Inverter 24/2500 230V Smart is a pure sine wave inverter designed for off-grid and backup power applications running from a 24V battery bank. It delivers up to 2,400W of continuous power at 25°C and includes built-in Bluetooth for wireless monitoring and configuration via the VictronConnect app.
Key Features
- 2,400W continuous output at 25°C, with a 4,000W peak power rating for motor and compressor starting loads
- Built-in Bluetooth and VE.Direct port for full configuration and monitoring via VictronConnect
- Dynamic Low DC Shutdown adjusts the low battery cut-off threshold based on load, protecting the battery bank without unnecessary shutdowns
- ECO mode reduces no-load consumption to 1.6W by switching the inverter off when no load is detected and restarting when demand returns
- Programmable relay rated at 230V/4A AC or 4A DC (up to 35VDC) for external signalling or load control
- Remote on/off terminal allows integration with external control systems or a simple switch
- Comprehensive protection: output short-circuit, overload, high and low battery voltage, over-temperature, AC voltage on output, and excessive DC ripple
- Rated IP21 and tested to EN-IEC 60335-1, with ECE R10-5 automotive directive compliance for mobile applications
Product Overview
The 24/2500 Smart operates from a 24V nominal battery bank with a DC input range of 18.6V to 34V. At 25°C it delivers 2,400W continuously, derated to 2,200W at 40°C and 1,500W at 65°C. The 94% maximum efficiency and 10W no-load draw (1.6W in ECO mode) make it practical for installations where the inverter spends significant time on standby, such as off-grid cabins, vehicles and backup systems.
Bluetooth connectivity is built in, so no additional interface hardware is needed for commissioning or monitoring. VE.Direct provides a wired data connection to compatible Victron devices including the Color Control GX and other GX-series monitors. All parameters, including ECO mode thresholds and low battery shutdown behaviour, are configurable through VictronConnect.
The steel enclosure measures 509 x 219 x 125mm and weighs 13kg. Battery connections use M8 bolts and AC connections use screw terminals, both suited to permanent fixed wiring. The operating temperature range of -40°C to 65°C covers demanding environments including cold-climate off-grid sites and vehicle installations.

Installation Notes
This inverter should be installed by a qualified electrician familiar with DC battery systems and off-grid AC wiring. Battery cables must be correctly rated and fused close to the battery terminals. The IP21 rating provides protection against vertical dripping water only; the unit must be installed in a dry, ventilated enclosure or compartment away from direct moisture exposure. For any installation forming part of a grid-connected or generator-backed system, ensure compliance with current UK wiring regulations and relevant network operator requirements.
