Description
xVictron Inverter 12/375 230V VE.Direct SCHUKO
The Victron Inverter 12/375 is a compact 12V DC to 230V AC pure sine wave inverter with a SCHUKO output socket and VE.Direct connectivity. It is designed for small off-grid, mobile and backup power applications where a reliable 230V AC supply is needed from a 12V battery bank. At 375VA continuous output, it suits low-power loads such as lighting, small appliances and electronic equipment.
Key Features
- 375VA continuous output power from a 12V DC input, with 230V AC SCHUKO socket output.
- Pure sine wave output, suitable for sensitive electronics and motor-driven loads.
- VE.Direct port for monitoring and configuration via Victron's GX devices, MPPT Solar Chargers and the VictronConnect app.
- SCHUKO (Type F) output socket, compatible with standard European and UK (via adaptor) plugs.
- Built-in protections including low battery voltage shutdown, high battery voltage shutdown, overload protection and over-temperature shutdown.
- Compact and lightweight form factor at 3.2 kg, suitable for installation in confined spaces such as vans, boats and cabinets.
- High efficiency design minimises battery drain during light loads.
Product Overview
The 12/375 sits at the entry level of Victron's VE.Direct inverter range. It converts 12V DC battery power to a stable 230V AC pure sine wave output, making it compatible with the full range of standard AC loads. The SCHUKO socket allows direct connection of European-standard plugs without additional wiring, which simplifies installation in mobile and temporary setups.
VE.Direct connectivity sets this inverter apart from basic models. The port allows integration with Victron's broader ecosystem, including GX monitoring devices and the VictronConnect Bluetooth app (via a VE.Direct to USB or Bluetooth dongle). This means installers can monitor inverter status, configure settings and log data without needing to wire into a more complex system. For small systems where a full CCGX or Cerbo GX is not justified, VE.Direct still provides a meaningful level of visibility and control.
At 375VA, this inverter is suited to loads in the range of small power tools, laptop chargers, LED lighting circuits, small refrigeration units and similar equipment. It is not intended for high-draw appliances such as kettles, heaters or large compressors. Correct load sizing before installation is essential to avoid nuisance tripping from the overload protection.

Installation Notes
This inverter must be connected to a 12V DC battery source using correctly rated DC cabling and an appropriately sized fuse or circuit breaker, fitted as close to the battery as practical. DC wiring should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent installer familiar with 12V battery systems. The SCHUKO output is not suitable for direct connection to a UK ring main or consumer unit. For any integration with a fixed AC installation, a qualified electrician must carry out the work in accordance with BS 7671. VE.Direct accessories such as a USB interface or Bluetooth dongle are sold separately and are required to use VictronConnect monitoring features.
