Description
xVictron Energy Busbar 250A 6-Way with Cover — VBB125060020
The Victron Energy 250A 6-way busbar is a high-current distribution bar designed for use in 12V, 24V and 48V DC systems. It provides a single, organised connection point for distributing power from a battery or inverter to multiple circuits, and is supplied with a protective cover to guard against accidental contact and short circuits.
Key Features
- 250A continuous current rating, suitable for high-load DC distribution applications.
- 6 connection points (6P) allow up to six individual circuits to be fed from a single busbar.
- Supplied with a protective cover to reduce the risk of accidental short circuits and to meet installation safety requirements.
- Compact and robust construction, weighing 472g, suitable for panel or enclosure mounting.
- Compatible with Victron Energy system components including inverter/chargers, battery monitors and distribution panels.
- GTIN: 8719076056416 — genuine Victron Energy product, SKU VBB125060020.
Product Overview
A busbar simplifies DC wiring by consolidating multiple cable connections onto a single rated conductor. Rather than running individual cables back to a battery terminal or main fuse, each load or sub-circuit connects directly to the busbar, which is then fed by a single main cable. This reduces terminal congestion, lowers the risk of loose connections and makes fault-finding considerably easier.
The 250A rating means this busbar can handle the combined current draw of multiple high-load circuits simultaneously, making it appropriate for systems with inverters, battery chargers, DC-DC converters and other demanding loads. The included cover is not merely cosmetic: it is an important safety feature in any installation where the busbar is accessible or located near conductive materials.
This busbar is a standard Victron Energy component and integrates naturally into Victron system builds, though it is equally suitable for use in any well-designed DC distribution system regardless of brand.

Installation Notes
This busbar must be installed by a qualified electrician or experienced DC systems installer. Ensure the main feed cable and all branch circuits are individually fused or protected by appropriately rated circuit breakers. The busbar should be mounted securely in a dry, ventilated location away from flammable materials. Always fit the protective cover once wiring is complete. For installations forming part of a grid-connected or battery storage system, work must comply with current UK wiring regulations (BS 7671) and any applicable DNO requirements.
