Description
xVictron BlueSolar PWM-Pro Charge Controller 12/24V 10A
The Victron BlueSolar PWM-Pro is a pulse-width modulation solar charge controller rated at 10A for 12V and 24V battery systems. It is designed for small off-grid solar installations where reliable, accurate battery charging is required without the complexity or cost of an MPPT controller. The PWM-Pro includes a load output and a VictronConnect-compatible interface, making it a practical choice for installers and system integrators working on compact solar setups.
Key Features
- Compatible with 12V and 24V battery systems, with automatic voltage detection.
- 10A maximum charge current, suitable for small panel arrays and compact off-grid systems.
- PWM charging algorithm with battery type selection, including options for sealed, gel, AGM and flooded lead-acid batteries.
- Load output with programmable low-voltage disconnect to protect batteries from over-discharge.
- VictronConnect compatible via the VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle (sold separately), enabling wireless monitoring and configuration from a smartphone.
- Built-in streetlight function with programmable on/off timers based on sunset and sunrise detection.
- LED indicators for charge status, load output and fault conditions.
Product Overview
PWM charge controllers work by connecting the solar panel directly to the battery once the battery reaches a set voltage, then rapidly switching the connection on and off to maintain the correct charge level. This approach is straightforward and effective for systems where the panel voltage is closely matched to the battery voltage. The BlueSolar PWM-Pro is well suited to small 12V and 24V systems using conventional lead-acid battery chemistries.
The Pro designation reflects the addition of a VE.Direct port, which allows connection of the optional VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle. This enables full configuration and monitoring through the VictronConnect app without requiring a display on the unit itself. Battery type, load output behaviour, streetlight timers and low-voltage disconnect thresholds can all be adjusted via the app. This makes the PWM-Pro more flexible than a basic PWM controller, particularly for installations where ongoing monitoring or remote adjustment is useful.
The load output is rated to handle DC loads directly, with programmable disconnect thresholds to prevent battery damage from deep discharge. The streetlight function allows the load output to be controlled automatically based on time of day, which is useful for lighting applications in remote or off-grid locations.

What Is Included
- 1 x Victron BlueSolar PWM-Pro Charge Controller 12/24V 10A
Installation Notes
This controller is intended for use with lead-acid battery chemistries in 12V or 24V systems. Ensure the solar panel open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current are within the controller's rated limits before installation. The VE.Direct port requires the separately purchased VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle to enable wireless monitoring and configuration. While this unit is suitable for competent self-installation in low-voltage DC systems, any work involving mains-connected or grid-tied equipment should be carried out by a qualified electrician or MCS-accredited installer.
