Description
xVictron Blue Smart IP65 Charger 12V 5A with CEE 7/17 Plug
The Victron Blue Smart IP65 12/5 is a single-output, Bluetooth-enabled battery charger rated at 12V 5A, supplied with a CEE 7/17 (Schuko-compatible) mains plug. It is designed for charging lead-acid and lithium batteries in vehicles, boats, caravans and off-grid installations where a compact, weatherproof charger is needed.
Key Features
- IP65-rated enclosure: protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, suitable for use in damp or exposed locations.
- Bluetooth built-in: monitor and adjust charge settings via the VictronConnect app on iOS and Android, no additional interface required.
- 12V 5A output with a multi-stage adaptive charge algorithm covering bulk, absorption and float phases.
- Compatible with a wide range of lead-acid battery types (GEL, AGM, flooded) and lithium LiFePO4 batteries.
- CEE 7/17 mains plug included: compatible with standard European and UK Schuko-type sockets.
- DC output via a direct connector, keeping the installation tidy and reducing the need for additional wiring hardware.
- Compact and lightweight at 0.647 kg, making it practical for mobile and portable applications.
Product Overview
The Blue Smart IP65 range uses a fully sealed, splash-resistant housing that allows the charger to be mounted in engine bays, lockers or outdoor enclosures without concern about moisture damage. The IP65 rating means it can tolerate condensation and incidental water exposure, though it should not be submerged or left in standing water.
Bluetooth connectivity is handled through the VictronConnect app, which gives access to real-time charge status, historical data and battery type configuration. This is particularly useful when the charger is installed in a location that is not easily accessible, such as under a seat or inside a storage compartment. No dongle or separate Bluetooth module is required.
At 5A output, this charger is suited to batteries in the range of approximately 14Ah to 100Ah, depending on the application and acceptable charge time. The adaptive charge algorithm adjusts absorption time based on battery condition, which helps avoid overcharging batteries that are already partially charged.
