Description
xBlue Smart IP65 Charger 12V 25A (1 Output) 230V CEE 7/17
The Victron Blue Smart IP65 Charger 12/25 is a single-output, 25-amp battery charger designed for 12V lead-acid and lithium battery systems. Built to IP65 ingress protection, it is suited to workshop, vehicle and marine environments where dust and water spray are a concern. It connects via a standard CEE 7/17 Schuko plug and is controlled through the VictronConnect app over Bluetooth.
Key Features
- 25A charge current for 12V battery banks, suitable for batteries from approximately 50Ah to 500Ah.
- IP65-rated enclosure provides protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets.
- Bluetooth built-in: configure charge algorithms, monitor charge status and view history via the VictronConnect app (iOS and Android).
- Compatible with lead-acid battery types including AGM, Gel, flooded and VRLA, as well as lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4).
- Seven-stage adaptive charge algorithm with battery conditioning and storage modes.
- Single DC output with integrated DC connector for direct connection to the battery.
- 230V AC input with CEE 7/17 Schuko plug, suitable for standard European and UK (via adaptor) mains sockets.
- Temperature-compensated charging adjusts output voltage based on ambient conditions.
Product Overview
The Blue Smart IP65 range sits above Victron's basic charger lineup by adding Bluetooth connectivity and a weatherproof enclosure. The 12/25 variant delivers 25 amps to a single 12V battery, making it practical for larger leisure batteries, vehicle auxiliary systems and small off-grid battery banks. The IP65 rating means it can be mounted in engine bays, outbuildings or on boats without requiring a separate enclosure.
Bluetooth control via VictronConnect removes the need for a display on the unit itself. Installers and end users can select the correct charge profile for the battery chemistry, review historical charge data and check real-time voltage and current from a phone or tablet. The seven-stage algorithm includes bulk, absorption, float, storage, equalisation (for lead-acid) and a recondition mode, which helps recover deeply discharged batteries.
The CEE 7/17 plug is the standard two-pin Schuko-compatible plug used across continental Europe. In the UK, a plug adaptor is required for standard BS 1363 sockets. This should be factored into installation planning.

Installation Notes
This charger is intended for connection to 230V AC mains supply. Installation should be carried out by a competent person familiar with battery charging systems and low-voltage DC wiring. Ensure the battery chemistry and capacity are within the charger's supported range before use. In the UK, a CEE 7/17 to BS 1363 adaptor is required; verify the adaptor is rated for the charger's input current. Do not install in locations where the unit will be submerged or exposed to direct high-pressure water. Lithium battery charging profiles must be selected correctly in VictronConnect to avoid overcharging.
