Key Features
- Active GPS antenna design provides amplified signal reception for improved positional accuracy.
- Compact and lightweight at 0.08 kg, making it straightforward to mount in confined spaces.
- Compatible with Victron monitoring equipment that supports an external GPS antenna input.
- Suitable for fixed and mobile installations including vehicles, boats, and off-grid systems.
- GTIN: 8719076045427, supplied as a genuine Victron Energy accessory (SKU: GSM900200100).
Product Overview
An active GPS antenna differs from a passive one in that it contains a built-in low-noise amplifier (LNA) that boosts the received satellite signal before it travels along the cable to the connected device. This matters in installations where cable runs are longer or where the antenna is mounted in a location with marginal sky visibility, such as inside a vehicle cab or below deck on a vessel.
This antenna is a genuine Victron Energy accessory, intended for use with Victron devices that have a dedicated GPS antenna port. It is not a standalone tracker and requires a compatible host device to function. Installers should confirm antenna connector compatibility with the target device before fitting.
