Description
xVictron Energy 12V 14Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery
The Victron Energy 12V 14Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery is a sealed, maintenance-free lead-acid battery designed for cyclic applications where reliable energy storage and repeated discharge are required. Rated at C20 capacity, it suits a wide range of off-grid, backup and auxiliary power installations where a compact, spill-proof battery is needed.
Key Features
- 12V nominal voltage with 14Ah capacity rated at C20 discharge rate.
- AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) construction: sealed, valve-regulated and maintenance-free with no free electrolyte.
- Deep cycle design built to withstand repeated charge and discharge cycles.
- Spill-proof and leak-proof construction allows mounting in any orientation.
- Weight of 3.67 kg makes it suitable for portable and space-constrained installations.
- Compatible with Victron Energy chargers, inverter/chargers and solar charge controllers configured for AGM battery chemistry.
Product Overview
AGM batteries use a glass mat separator to hold the electrolyte in place, eliminating the risk of acid spillage and allowing the battery to be installed in enclosed spaces or at angles where a flooded battery would not be safe. The valve-regulated design means no topping up with distilled water and no venting of hydrogen under normal operating conditions.
The deep cycle rating distinguishes this battery from a standard standby or starter battery. It is designed to be discharged to a meaningful depth and then recharged repeatedly without premature capacity loss. For longest service life, avoid discharging below 50% state of charge and use a charger with an AGM-specific charge profile. Victron's own MPPT solar charge controllers and battery chargers include dedicated AGM profiles that match the absorption and float voltages required.
At 14Ah (C20), this is a relatively compact unit suited to auxiliary, backup and small off-grid roles rather than primary storage in larger systems. It is well matched to Victron BMV battery monitors, small inverters and alarm or UPS applications where a dependable sealed battery is required.

Installation Notes
Although this battery is sealed and maintenance-free, it must still be installed in a ventilated location as a precaution against gas release under fault conditions. Use a charger or charge controller with a correct AGM charge profile to avoid overcharging, which will shorten battery life. Ensure all cable connections are correctly rated and fused close to the battery terminal. For integration into solar, inverter or vehicle electrical systems, installation by a qualified electrician or competent person is recommended.
