Description
xVE.Can to NMEA 2000 Micro-C Male Cable
The VE.Can to NMEA 2000 Micro-C Male cable connects Victron Energy devices with a VE.Can port directly to an NMEA 2000 network backbone. It is aimed at marine installers and off-grid professionals who need to integrate Victron equipment into an existing vessel network without additional adaptors or converters.
Key Features
- Connects VE.Can-equipped Victron devices to a standard NMEA 2000 network backbone.
- Micro-C male connector on the NMEA 2000 end, compatible with standard Micro-C backbone sockets and T-pieces.
- Allows Victron system data (battery state, inverter status, charger data) to be broadcast over the vessel's NMEA 2000 network.
- Lightweight at 59 g, suitable for installation in confined cable runs typical of marine environments.
- Victron part number ASS030520200, designed specifically for use with Victron VE.Can port hardware.
Product Overview
VE.Can is Victron's CAN-bus based communication interface, used across a range of their products including MultiPlus-II, Quattro, Cerbo GX and various MPPT charge controllers. NMEA 2000 is the marine industry standard network protocol for sharing data between onboard electronics such as chartplotters, displays and monitoring systems. This cable bridges the two, allowing Victron system data to appear on compatible NMEA 2000 displays without requiring a separate gateway device.
The Micro-C connector format is the most widely used physical standard on NMEA 2000 networks in the marine sector. Using a male Micro-C termination on the NMEA 2000 end means this cable connects directly into a standard T-piece or backbone drop point. This is a straightforward, single-cable solution for integrating Victron equipment into a vessel's existing network infrastructure.

Installation Notes
This cable should be installed by a qualified marine electrician familiar with both NMEA 2000 network topology and Victron VE.Can configuration. Ensure the NMEA 2000 network is correctly terminated at both ends of the backbone before connecting additional drop devices. Verify that the Victron device's VE.Can port is enabled and configured correctly in VictronConnect or Venus OS prior to use. Do not connect this cable to a powered backbone without confirming network load and termination resistance are within NMEA 2000 specification.
