Description
xVE.Direct Cable 10m (One Side Right Angle Connector)
The VE.Direct Cable with a right angle connector on one side is a 10-metre data cable for connecting Victron Energy devices that use the VE.Direct communication port. It is suited to installations where cable routing or enclosure layouts make a straight connector impractical.
Key Features
- 10-metre cable length, providing reach for installations where devices are mounted at a distance from each other.
- One right angle VE.Direct connector, allowing the cable to exit the port at 90 degrees to reduce strain and improve routing in tight spaces.
- One straight VE.Direct connector on the opposite end for standard port connections.
- Compatible with all Victron devices equipped with a VE.Direct port, including BMV battery monitors, SmartSolar MPPT charge controllers, and Phoenix inverters.
- SKU: ASS030531320 | GTIN: 8719076019701
Product Overview
VE.Direct is Victron's point-to-point serial communication protocol used across a wide range of their product line. This cable carries data between a VE.Direct-equipped device and a compatible interface, such as the VE.Direct to USB adapter, the Color Control GX, or a Raspberry Pi running Venus OS. It does not carry power for charging; it is a data-only connection.
The right angle connector on one end is particularly useful when a device is mounted flush against a panel, inside a cabinet, or in any position where a straight connector would create a sharp bend in the cable or prevent the enclosure from closing properly. At 10 metres, this cable suits larger installations such as off-grid cabins, marine vessels, or commercial battery rooms where components are spread across a space.

- Linking a BMV battery monitor to a VE.Direct to USB interface for PC-based monitoring.
- Routing data cables neatly inside battery enclosures or switchboards where straight connectors would obstruct panel closure.
- Marine and motorhome installations where devices are mounted in confined spaces with restricted cable exit angles.
- Off-grid cabin or commercial installations requiring longer cable runs between monitoring and control equipment.
What Is Included
- 1 x VE.Direct Cable, 10m, with one right angle connector and one straight connector
Installation Notes
This is a data cable and carries no mains or battery voltage. It can be installed without specialist electrical qualifications, though it should be routed away from high-current DC cables where possible to avoid interference. Ensure the VE.Direct ports on both connected devices are unpowered or in a safe state before connecting or disconnecting the cable. For wider system integration involving inverters, battery banks, or grid-connected equipment, a qualified installer should be engaged.
