Description
xSolis S3-WiFi-ST Data Logger for Inverter Remote Monitoring
The Solis S3-WiFi-ST data logger connects your Solis inverter to the SolisCloud monitoring platform via a wireless Wi-Fi connection. It enables remote commissioning, real-time monitoring, fault alerts, and ongoing performance analysis from any location, without the need for a physical site visit.
Key Features
- Wi-Fi connectivity to SolisCloud monitoring platform
- RS485 connection to compatible Solis inverters
- Real-time monitoring and fault alarm notifications
- Plug and play installation
- Status indicator LED for easy visual confirmation of working state
- Reset button for one-key data transmission and debugging
Product Overview
The S3-WiFi-ST connects to the inverter via the RS485 communication port and transmits performance data to SolisCloud over the local Wi-Fi network. Once connected, the system can be commissioned, monitored, and maintained remotely through the SolisCloud platform, reducing installer call-out costs and giving system owners full visibility of their solar generation data at any time.
The data logger supports real-time monitoring of key inverter parameters and will trigger fault alarms if the inverter reports an error condition, enabling fast diagnosis and response. The reset button allows engineers to resend data or restart communication with the inverter during commissioning or troubleshooting without needing to access the inverter directly.
Applications
- Remote monitoring of Solis grid-tied and hybrid inverters
- SolisCloud commissioning and ongoing performance management
- Residential and commercial solar installations
Installation and Safety Notes
The data logger connects to the inverter RS485 port using the supplied cable. Ensure a stable Wi-Fi signal is available at the inverter location before installation. The data logger is a low-voltage communications device but the inverter itself must only be installed and serviced by a qualified electrician or MCS-accredited solar installer.
