The Solis S6-EH1P8K-L-PLUS is an 8kW single phase hybrid inverter for residential solar PV and battery storage systems. Dual MPPT trackers, 32A MPPT input current and up to 16kW PV array capacity suit larger domestic installations. Backup switching under 4ms, 6-stage timed charge and discharge, generator interface and parallel operation up to 48kW. G98 and G99 compliant, MCS certified. Wi-Fi dongle included.
Key Features
- 8kW rated output, single phase 230V
- Dual MPPT trackers for separate string or orientation management
- 32A MPPT input current for high-output solar modules
- Up to 16kW PV array input
- Backup switching under 4ms
- 200% overload capability for 10 seconds
- 6-stage timed charge and discharge
- Independent generator interface
- Parallel operation: up to 48kW combined
- IP66 rated enclosure
- G98 and G99 compliant, MCS certified
- Wi-Fi dongle and energy meter included
Product Overview
The 32A MPPT input means this inverter handles modern 600W to 700W solar modules without de-rating. The dual MPPT design allows two separate panel strings, which is useful on properties with panels on different roof pitches or orientations, or where partial shading affects one string independently of the other.
The 6-stage timed charge function lets you set specific charging periods aligned to low-tariff windows such as Octopus Agile or Economy 7, then set discharge to peak periods. This runs automatically without manual intervention once configured.
Applications
- Residential solar PV and battery storage
- High-output panel installations requiring 32A string input
- Time-of-use tariff optimisation
- Backup power for essential household loads
- Larger parallel installations up to 48kW combined
What Is Included
- 1 x Solis S6-EH1P8K-L-PLUS 8kW hybrid inverter
- Wi-Fi dongle for SolisCloud monitoring
- Energy meter
Installation Notes
Grid connection requires G98 or G99 compliance (UK) depending on system size. Installation must be carried out by a qualified MCS-accredited installer. Battery type, BMS protocol, export settings and CT clamp position must be configured and verified on commissioning.
