Description
xSolar PV String Current Monitoring System – Up to 24 Groups, Hall-Effect Sensors
This solar PV string current monitoring system individually measures the output current of up to 24 string groups using hall-effect sensors. In medium to large-scale solar installations, measuring each string separately allows early detection of underperforming or faulted strings, reducing downtime and improving overall system yield. Sensors are available in groups of 4, each measuring 4 independent PV strings.
Key Features
- Up to 24 independent PV string groups monitored
- Hall-effect current sensors in groups of 4
- Scalable: add sensor groups as required
- Continuous individual string current measurement
- Early fault and underperformance detection per string
- Digital monitoring system with data output
Applications
- String-level performance monitoring in commercial and utility solar PV systems
- Fault detection and yield optimisation in multi-string solar arrays
Installation Notes
Hall-effect sensors clip around each string conductor. The monitoring controller requires a stable DC power supply. Installation and commissioning should be carried out by a qualified solar engineer.
