Product Overview
The self-heating function is the key practical differentiator for UK installations. LiFePO4 batteries cannot be safely charged below 0°C without cell damage. Most rack batteries either refuse to charge in cold conditions or rely on the installer to manage ambient temperature. The FogStar activates its heater automatically when the internal temperature drops below 5°C, which means the battery charges reliably in unheated garages, plant rooms and outbuildings throughout winter without any intervention.
The LCD touchscreen removes the need to download BMS configuration software or connect a laptop to set the inverter communication protocol. Select the correct profile from the screen, connect the cable, and the inverter reads the battery data immediately. Pre-loaded protocols cover the most common inverter brands used in UK solar installations.
The ESR48V and ESR51.2V models are not compatible with other rack battery brands. Do not mix with batteries from other manufacturers. If you are unsure about system compatibility, contact our technical team before ordering.
