Description
xCurrent Transformer 100A:50mA for MultiPlus-II (20m) Wire-End
This current transformer is designed for use with the Victron MultiPlus-II inverter/charger, enabling accurate AC current measurement for energy monitoring and system management. The 20-metre cable length suits installations where the measurement point is some distance from the inverter or GX device. It is intended for professional installation in residential, commercial and off-grid solar systems.
Key Features
- 100A:50mA ratio provides accurate, proportional current sensing across the full measurement range.
- 20-metre cable length allows flexible positioning in larger or more complex installations.
- Wire-end termination for direct connection to compatible Victron monitoring inputs.
- Designed specifically for compatibility with the Victron MultiPlus-II inverter/charger range.
- Non-invasive clamp-style measurement: fits around an existing AC conductor without breaking the circuit.
- Lightweight at 0.7 kg, suitable for panel or enclosure mounting.
Product Overview
Current transformers work by inducing a proportional secondary current from the magnetic field generated by the primary conductor passing through the core. This 100A:50mA unit produces a 50mA output signal when 100A flows through the measured conductor, which the MultiPlus-II or connected GX device uses to calculate real-time current and power values. No direct electrical connection to the measured circuit is required, which simplifies installation and maintains isolation.
The 20-metre cable gives installers the flexibility to route the transformer from a distribution board or consumer unit back to the MultiPlus-II or GX monitoring device without the need for additional cable extensions. The wire-end finish means the installer makes the final termination directly, keeping the connection clean and secure within the enclosure.
Accurate current measurement is important in systems where the MultiPlus-II is used for self-consumption optimisation, ESS (Energy Storage System) applications, or generator management. Without a correctly specified current transformer, the system cannot accurately determine grid import/export or load current, which affects control logic and monitoring data.

Installation Notes
This current transformer must be installed by a qualified electrician. It is intended for use with the Victron MultiPlus-II and compatible GX devices only. Ensure the transformer is fitted around a single AC conductor (not a twin or multicore cable) for accurate measurement. In grid-connected systems, the installation must comply with G98 or G99 requirements as applicable. Verify the input specification of the receiving device before terminating the wire-end connection.
