xConversol Max-II 8kW Off-Grid Inverter 150A MPPT Time Charging
The Conversol Max-II 8kW is a high-performance off-grid inverter and battery charger with dual MPPT solar input and time-controlled charging functionality. Rated at 8kW continuous output with 16kVA surge capacity, it combines a powerful inverter with an intelligent solar and AC charger in a single unit designed for demanding off-grid and backup power applications.
Key Features
- 8kW continuous output, 16kVA surge capacity
- 150A combined solar MPPT charging current
- Dual MPPT solar input, up to 8kW total PV capacity
- Time-controlled charging for off-peak grid or generator use
- 48V battery input, compatible with lithium and lead-acid batteries
- Parallel operation for up to 6 units
- Pure sine wave output
- Communication via USB, RS232, RS485, Wi-Fi, and dry contact
Product Overview
The Max-II builds on the established Conversol off-grid platform with the addition of programmable time-charging, allowing users to schedule AC charging from the grid or a generator during off-peak hours to reduce energy costs. The dual MPPT charger operates between 90V and 450VDC with an open circuit limit of 500VDC, accommodating a broad range of PV string arrangements.
The 150A MPPT charging current makes this unit well suited to large battery banks where fast solar charging is a priority. With up to 6 units paralleled, the platform scales to meet large commercial and industrial off-grid requirements.
Applications
- Off-grid homes and residential properties
- Commercial and industrial energy storage systems
- Backup power systems with grid or generator input
- Agricultural and rural off-grid installations
- Systems requiring programmable charge scheduling
What Is Included
- Conversol Max-II 8kW off-grid inverter/charger unit

Installation and Safety Notes
Must be installed by a qualified electrician or accredited solar installer. Correct DC cable sizing, fusing, and battery isolators are mandatory for safe operation at 48V high-current levels. Time-charging functions must be configured correctly to avoid unintended battery overcharge. Review the installation manual fully before commissioning.
