Description
xConversol 8kW MAX-II IP65 Waterproof Off-Grid Inverter 48V
The Conversol 8kW MAX-II Waterproof is a ruggedised off-grid inverter and charger rated IP65, designed for installations where exposure to dust, moisture, and outdoor conditions is unavoidable. With 8kW of continuous output, dual MPPT solar input, and parallel capability for up to six units, it is built for serious off-grid power requirements in demanding environments.
Key Features
- 8kW continuous output, 16kVA surge capacity
- IP65 waterproof enclosure for outdoor and harsh-environment installation
- Dual MPPT solar charger, up to 8kW total PV input
- 48V battery bank, up to 150A solar charging current
- Parallel operation for up to 6 units
- Pure sine wave output
- USB, RS232, RS485, Wi-Fi, dry contact communication
Product Overview
The IP65 rated enclosure sets the MAX-II Waterproof apart from standard inverters, making it suitable for wall-mounting in plant rooms, outbuildings, and exposed locations where a standard indoor unit would be at risk. The dual MPPT charger accepts strings up to 500VDC open circuit and operates across a wide 90V to 450VDC MPPT range.
Output power is pure sine wave, making it compatible with sensitive loads including variable speed drives, medical equipment, and communications hardware. With 48V battery input and combined charging of up to 150A, it is well suited to large lead-acid or lithium battery banks.
Applications
- Outdoor and exposed off-grid installations
- Agricultural buildings and farm infrastructure
- Remote commercial sites and workshops
- Marine and waterside installations
- Critical backup systems in harsh environments
What Is Included
- Conversol 8kW MAX-II IP65 inverter/charger unit
- Communication cable and accessories
- User manual
Installation and Safety Notes
Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician or accredited solar installer. IP65 rating applies to the enclosure only; all cable entries must be sealed correctly with appropriate glands to maintain the rating. Battery cabling, DC fusing, and isolators must be correctly sized for 48V high-current operation. Do not operate without verifying battery voltage and charge settings.
