Description
xAutomatic Transfer Switch 100A 4-Pole – ATS for Solar Inverter, Grid and Generator
A 100A 4-pole automatic transfer switch (ATS) for dual-source AC power systems operating at 400V AC. Used in solar PV systems to switch automatically between a solar inverter output and grid or generator supply, ensuring only one source feeds the load at any time. Supports both automatic and manual operation modes, with switching time under 2 seconds.
Key Features
- 100A rated current, 4-pole
- Rated voltage: AC 440V / Working voltage: AC 220V
- Frequency: 50/60Hz
- Switching time: under 2 seconds
- Both automatic and manual operation supported
- Zero-crossing switching technology for emergency disconnection of both sources simultaneously
- Mechanical and electrical interlocking: prevents both sources connecting simultaneously
- Built-in DC switch: short circuit, fire protection and double-break functions
- Clear on/off position indicators and padlock provisions
- Rated for over 8,000 operating cycles
- PC plastic housing: 244 x 118 x 145mm
Product Overview
The ATS monitors both connected power sources continuously. When the primary source fails or falls outside acceptable parameters, the switch transfers the load to the backup source automatically. When the primary source recovers, the switch returns the load and disconnects the backup. The mechanical interlock ensures the two sources can never be connected together, which protects both the inverter and the grid connection.
The zero-crossing switching function allows both sources to be disconnected simultaneously in an emergency, which is a requirement for fire protection systems in commercial installations.
Operating Modes
- Main power active
- Standby power active
- Both sources isolated (I–0–II)
- Emergency manual operation
- Electronic remote control
- Automatic switching with dynamic state monitoring
- Emergency disconnection
Applications
- Solar off-grid systems switching between inverter output and grid backup
- Generator changeover for hybrid and off-grid installations
- Three-phase backup power systems
- Commercial and industrial dual-source AC distribution
What Is Included
- 1 x 100A 4-pole automatic transfer switch
Installation Notes
Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The ATS must be correctly sized for the connected load and cable cross-sections. Correct fusing upstream of both inputs is required. Follow the manufacturer wiring diagram and comply with current wiring regulations.
